For some reason, Jenny Lewis isn’t the female vocalist on the album version of this song.  Too bad the audience has to sing along; it makes the song a lot less depressing.

In this video, the band acts out a Dr. Fünke’s 100% Natural Good Time Family Band Solution fantasy, and rides bikes in pastel avengers costumes.

Oh, so that picture I posted yesterday was a promotional still from the We Will Become Sihlouettes video.  I totally didn’t recognize Jenny Lewis when I first saw this video a few years back.

So I didn’t know that this song was supposed to be misspelled like this.  At first I thought it might be a remix, but it turns out that this is the original, though it is indeed produced by Dntel.

Aside: You may not know Dntel, but he’s the other half of The Postal Service.

Double Aside: Jenny Lewis provides guest vocals for most of Give Up.

Triple Aside: If I hadn’t gotten sic and were in California right now, I would probably be seeing Jenny Lewis in under 24 hours.  But instead, I’m in Champaign.

Jenny Lewis covers The Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle With Care,” featuring Ben Gibbard, M. Ward, and Conor Oberst.  I was going to say that it’s a lot of star power for a song, but then I remembered who the Traveling Wilburys were.
